This is the time of year Premier One Automotive sees yellow cars everywhere. In fact, in local parking lots, we see thick yellow dust on vehicles, complete with a tinge of green. The numerous pine trees are in full bloom, looking for the winds of the Triangle for pollination!
The thickness of the pine pollen will be over soon. Yet, everything is mellow yellow this spring! Across pine-laden Wake and Chatham Counties, the pollen has blanketed everything! Plumes of dust follow the cars as they move on 540, U.S.1, and 64!
Pollen coats everything. For weeks, we will see the trail of yellow clouds. Remember, it does hamper visibility when driving.
Premier One Automotive in Historic Apex offers four great ideas to battle the yellow:
- Purchase brand new wipers directly from us. We have them in stock.
- Use glass cleaner and a squeegee on all automotive glass, home, and office windows.
- Keep the windshield washer solvent reservoir under the hood full at all times. It is okay this time of year for a 50/ 50 mix of water and fluid.
- Wash the car once a week at the $2 spray-off car wash, or run it through a full-service exterior care center.
After the “pollen” season, make an appointment with our ASE Certified Technicians at P1A to have all the filters checked, especially the air filter and cabin filter.
